Assistant Researcher
Dimitrios GIAKATOS
I work on bridging the gap in Internet data knowledge for people from various domains and non-technical users.
Research Topics
I am interested in many things related to Internet data. My main focus is on enhancing Internet data accessibility and understanding. As part of my research I work a lot with Internet Yellow Pages, a knowledge graph combining Open Data sources, and machine learning.
About
I studied computer science at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, where I completed my B.Sc. in 2021 after writing my thesis at the Data and Web Science Lab. For my master's thesis, I focused on estimating polarization in networks with missing links, which I completed in 2023 at the same lab. Following this, I continued my work as an assistant researcher at the Data and Web Science Lab before joining IIJ in 2024.
